How did you start off as a Software Engineer? I'm an aspiring SEng undergraduate in Canada and I'd like to know how you moved through the industry! :)

I accepted a job as a Technical Support Technician for Gateway Computers in South Dakota. I worked in the position for a year and during this time I networked within the company to find development gigs. It worked :) Another option would be to offer your services for little to nothing. This way you can use the company that you did the work for as a reference. Good luck buddy.
